The NTU’s WTO moot court team was awarded the prize of the Winning Team and won three other awards at the 22nd John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition in the East Asia & Oceania Regional Round and is qualified for the Final Oral Round.

The East Asia & Oceania Regional Round of the 22nd John H. Jackson Moot Court Competition was held in March 2024. After 5 days of competition, the WTO moot court team of the National Taiwan University (“NTU”) received the Winner, the Best Complainant Written Submission, the Best Respondent Written Submission, and the Best Overall Written Submission after the competition with teams from the top universities, including Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and University of International Business and Economics.
Specifically, Ms. Yun-Hsuan Lee, an NTU team member, had an outstanding performance in the semi-final and final rounds and was thus awarded the title of the Best Orator of the Semi-Finals and the Best Orator of the Finals.
The 2023-2024 NTU team includes four team members, Shang-Wen Wang, Hao-Wen Zheng, Ting-Hua Chang, and Yun-Hsuan Lee, as well as two student coaches, Chih-Chi Huang and Hong-Chih Liu. Its faculty advisor is Associate Professor Yueh-Ping (Alex) Yang from the Asian Center for WTO & International Health Law and Policy.
The NTU team will proceed to the Grand Final Round held in Geneva, Switzerland, in June 2024.
