Successful Conclusion of the 2024 Young Scholar Workshop on International Economic Law
The 2024 Young Scholar Workshop on International Economic Law, organized by the Asian Center for WTO & International Health Law and Policy on Dec. 6-7, 2024, has concluded successfully. This workshop aimed to foster the exchange of ideas between young and accomplished scholars in the field. In these 1.5 days, each young scholar is assigned a 45-minute session for their work, which starts with a 10-minute comment made by a senior scholar, followed by intensive Q&As. This design ends up with robust comments, discussions, and feedback from the participants.
Nine young scholars based in the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States participated in this workshop. They submitted their recent studies on various topics, including trade and health, free trade agreements, clean energy, chips and semiconductors, and economic security. The workshop also offered two awards, selected by the organizing committee, to recognize two outstanding studies among the submitted papers. Prof. Meng Fang was awarded the Best Paper Award, and Mr. Ondrej Svoboda was awarded the Distinguished Paper Award for their exceptional work. Congratulations to both for their achievements!
